Overview:

We have had several requests for people who want to make there cars lower then what the typical struts and coilovers allow. To solve this problem we decided to work from the ground up, only retaining the stock spindle forging and replacing all other components with high quality / high strength replacements.

We used thick wall tubes to give a high assembly stiffness and bending resistance, as well as a gusseted and TIG welded spindle to tube connection. The factory connection method consists of swedging a tube into the forging and this is not a very stiff or strong connection, many people that ride the curbs at road courses have bent there struts at that connection point. The steel threads for the height adjustment are threaded directly on the strut tube to minimize extra components, we use anodized aluminum spring perches, and bronze thrust bearings intergrated into the upper spring seat to aid in maintaining a crisp low friction steering feel.

The Koni Struts used have very aggressive valving that allow for good control of spring rates upto 600 lb/in. They are available in Single Adjustable versions which allow for adjustment of the rebound dampening and double adjustable which allow for rebound and compression dampening adjustment
