We have sold variations of our 240 adjustable strut mount since 2003. Being unwilling to compromise on quality and versatility, the pricing keeps our parts out of the hands of many of our customers. We decided to scale back the complexity and versatility of the design and build a high value option, the key features we wanted to focus on was durability and improving the alignment range over the stock strut mount. We call these high value / lower price parts BNEselect.
These plates have 3 sets of holes that can be utilized to access different alignment ranges. The 1st set (positive camber) and 2nd sets (negative camber) can have their respective ranges extended by trimming the strut mounts.
The first is least aggressive setting, this offers a moderate increase in caster over stock and a wide range of camber settings. If you are using stock sized springs, this will be the setting for you. While stock springs can be used with these plates in this setting, they will not have a full adjustment range due to the size of the factory spring perch.
The second is a more aggressive setting with the same moderate increase in caster over stock but more aggressive camber. This setting requires coilover springs and increased range can be gained by cutting the strut tower. If you decide to cut the strut tower, we heavily recommend using one of our high quality strut braces to help reinforce the sheet metal.
The third has an aggressive positive caster setting. This setting requires coilover springs and increased camber range can be gained by cutting the strut tower. If you decide to cut the strut tower, we heavily recommend using one of our high quality strut braces to help reinforce the sheet metal.
For a street car, the first or third will be the best options.
For a race car, the second or third will be the best options.
